Privacy Policy
Effective September 7, 2026
Builtwell Crew ("the app") is a workforce tool used by Builtwell's employees to record work hours, complete safety checks, and communicate with the office. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it's used. It applies only to accounts created and managed by Builtwell for its own workers — the app is not available to the general public.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, phone number, and job role, set up for you by your employer's office. You sign in with this phone number and a password.
- Location — recorded at each clock-in and clock-out, and shared continuously only while the app is open so nearby job sites can appear automatically and your office can see who's on site. Location is never collected while the app is closed or running in the background.
- Photos — only when you choose to attach one to a hazard, incident, or request report.
- Work records — clock-in/out times, safety checklist answers, and any hazard reports or requests you submit.
How we use it
Solely to operate the app for its intended purpose: recording hours and safety sign-offs, showing you the right project when you're on site, and routing your reports and requests to your employer's office. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not use any third-party analytics or ad tracking inside the app.
Who can see it
Your information is visible to your employer's administrators through the Crew Admin dashboard. It is not sold, rented, or shared with outside companies.
Data storage
Data is stored with Supabase, a hosted database provider, in a database dedicated to Builtwell. Access is restricted to Builtwell's administrators and the app's maintainers for support purposes.
Data retention
Records are kept for as long as needed for employment, payroll, and safety recordkeeping. If you'd like your data removed after you're no longer employed by Builtwell, contact us using the details below.
Children's privacy
Builtwell Crew is a workforce app for employees and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new effective date above.
